Doing Our Part

To help our people and communities navigate through this time, Boardwalk is taking vigilant care to help prevent the spread of the virus and to support the ongoing health and well-being of our communities. In addition to Boardwalk’s already high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and service we are taking additional precautionary steps as we chart forward. Boardwalk will remain committed to the safety and well-being of our communities and will continue to follow guidelines issued by Health Canada and other local and national organizations.

Maintaining Social Distance

  • Leasing Office doors are closed to prevent unnecessary contact, but we are open, around and available to help when an appointment is made via phone or email

  • Common areas such as fitness rooms, pools, saunas, community rooms, playgrounds and coffee stations will be closed until further notice

  • All community events have been cancelled until further notice

  • As per Health Canada’s recommendations, we are encouraging our Associates to work from home or on a modified work schedule where applicable

  • Supporting online interactions:

    • Online payment options

    • Online maintenance requests

    • Online chat features for current and future Residents

    • Virtual showings for future Residents

    • Digital lease signing

Maintenance Requests

  • All emergency maintenance requests will continue to be a priority, but non-essential maintenance will be managed on a case-by-case basis to avoid any unnecessary contact

  • Encouraging online maintenance requests through our Residents Member Portal powered by Yuhu

  • Ensuring any outside contractors are in compliance with our enhanced healthy and safety protocols

Supporting Our Resident Members

  • We will continue to work with our Resident Members in financial hardship

  • We will work with those who have had a reduction in hours or have been made unemployed due to COVID-19 and do not have access to sufficient resources to pay their rent

  • We have implemented direct lines of communication in each province in order to provide our Residents with the best solution possible.

Cleaning & Sanitation

  • We are monitoring all sites to ensure they are stocked with the appropriate cleaning supplies

  • We have increased the level of sanitation and disinfecting efforts in our communities
